There is two areas one outside one inside. Like another reviewer said inside auction prices are way to crazy. Outside the starting bid was 10. 10 is crazy! Then when you pay its like 11.50 or something close to that. I understand they need to make profit. The parking lot is rocky and I'm sure can become muddy. Also when... More

We had just an hour to spend and found it interesting. Auctions were held simultaneously outside and inside. Was not looking to buy furniture or antiques/collectibles, but we did enjoy some great ice cream from one of the vendors. Also available were Amish meats and cheeses, and baked goods as well as a sit-down lunch counter that was neat and... More

I have known about this place since I was old enough to ride a bike. We had a neighbor who would get bike and mower parts and made out really well. Since then I have told myself one day I would go. After 40 our so years, I took my wife who always wanted to go. The outside auction is... More

Plan to spend the day! So much going on! Inside the main building are probably the "better" items. Each item is picked up and the auctioneer auctions it off. It can take about thirty seconds per item. If you find the perfect treasure, you need to wait until that item comes up for auction. It could take hours. But it's... More

We had a wonderful time at the auction. Lots to look at and there are at least 2 auctioneers working at the same time so it goes fast. They have a kitchen that Amish women work in making delicious food for sale. We were able to purchase a large mirror and many other smaller items for a very low price.... More

It's difficult to adequately describe the Crumpton Weekly Auction because there are many layers to the experience of being there. Obviously, most people are attracted to the auction to see what bargains might be purchased. Yet, to just describe the Crumpton experience as an auction is to do it a disservice. It's really Upper Maryland Eastern Shore immersion with locals... More

Inside table auctions seem to be from antique shop owners who want to move some of their contents, quite a good variety of paintings, sculpture, dishes, lamps. At the end of the table auctions are the junkier stuff like someone's prize collection of 150 owls or frogs. Furniture gets snapped up by guys with huge trucks from out of state.... More

I am a dealer and this is what i tell my customers who ask... why don't i just go and bid myself and i say by all means. If you don't mind standing in the heat of the summer or the freezing cold of the winter, getting really dirty, having to schedule the bathroom, and standing there all day to... More

I used to go as a kid many years ago when they auctioned animals as well as stuff. Now it is just household. There are a lot of antique dealers and you don't get bargains too much any more. Some of it is junk, but there is a lot of nice antiques as well as decent furniture for the house.... More

Crumpton has something for everyone, and I'm not referring to the merchandise for sale any given week. For casual visitors: Crumpton is a great place to visit as a casual observer. Good Amish food onsite, a lot of action and excitement. Dress warm in the winter, or as close to naked as you're comfortable with in the summer, as the... More
