While this has been a boon to the area, it also costs the taxpayers a lot of money to maintain. Both the state and county have had to spend a lot to keep it going, and there still is no steam locomotive on the horizon.

I don't think there are any bad seats. When we went, we were not on a Murder Mystery, we were just gong for the views along the ride to Frostburg. We walked through a few cars to pick our seat and I think you will be fine... More

We didn't use the dining car...however, we, too, remember seeing a "tip jar" on the counter when we exited the train. We DID "try" to tip the narrator as we thought he was outstanding and he refused saying, "please donate... More
