We happened to book unintentionally for Mother's Day Sunday 2017, so there were quite a number of riders. We'll definitely be back to try the more expensive private car with meal option. You get only 60 minutes in Frostburg to eat/check out the downtown and would be nice to have 90 minutes or so. PROS: Waving to weekend bikers along... More

Staff is very friendly so no complaint there but this is worst ride ever...no scenery just heavy wooded areas on both sides. Train broke down halfway up but that did not cause the bad review as things happen and I understand that. Needs a different route or something, very boring but I did get a good nap! (most exspensive one... More

Boarded the train for a birthday dinner train ride. Let me also add that the station takes you back to the days when train travel was "the " way to go. The station makes you feel as if you are in the 30's thru 50's. They lay out red carpet and your on board! Our group was only about 14... More

We went on the train on March 18, 2017. We were pleasantly surprised that it was running as it is something we wanted to do for some time now. The tickets for general admission is a little on the high side. We spent a $120 plus tax for the three of us. The money does go back in restoring engines... More

We have traveled the railroad before but never in the dining car and this was a real treat! It was so cold that day! The train travels from Cumberland to Frostburg, turns the engine around (really cool sight!) and then you travel back. Takes about 3 hours total. You pick your lunch ahead of time. My husband had a BLT... More

I live in Cumberland, Maryland and have been to the station many times. Located in the down town area of Cumberland. Easy walking to Motels and the area

I think the regular price tickets are a bit overpriced, so buy from 3rd party sellers like Certifikid.com. The experience was ok but it wasn't breathtaking. For young kids, it would be exciting.

I am a local to Cumberland and live right around the corner from the Scenic Train Station. It's very well kept, the train ride is really fun. All of the reviews that say it is bad is due to circumstances beyond the train company's control. They had a landslide take out a section of track, and their steam locomotive had... More

This train ride is a complete ripoff. Takes you through areas with nothing to recommend them. It us supposed to go to Frostburg and then you have 30 minutes to visit shops etc. However because of a track problem the train stops a good distance from Frostburg and you are allowed off the train to walk around the tracks -...
