This is an excellent spot to see and photograph bald eagles. There are other species of birds, but the eagles are the stars. Parking down below quickly fills up in the morning, so I advise parking up top and riding the shuttle (school bus) down...More

I've never seen a dam quite like the Conowingo HYDRODAM. It is worth the stop to learn how it works and what it does. Photographers come to photograph Eagles. Lots of quirky venues around the area. Stop and check it out!

Yes, people were fishing when we were there - and catching. Men were walking off with more than one fish to take to their cars. Believe it is all ramps too to get down there to fish.
