HDG is a quaint small time that has lots of local charm and great history. Very easily a walk-able one or two day visit. The light house is situated within walking distance of several B&Bs and local eateries. Great bike tour location as well.

There's a spiral staircase inside which is nice. But be careful on the ladder to get into the cupola. There are plastic windows making the cupola warm--no air circulation save a small fan. The windows were dirty which was disappointing.

A little history and a quiet walk, but it was a very warm day so fewer people; this smaller lighthouse sits upon the Chesapeake and was built in 1827. We didn't have the opportunity to climb the stairs, but enjoyed the views from a nearby...More

A little scary going up because the steps are really small and go up pretty high. So if you have height issues or are uncomfortable with your children going up, you may want to skip it. Or just take your time going both up and...More

Concord Point Lighthouse is a humble little lighthouse but so, so pretty! It is worth a visit and right on the promenade. Lovely little place.
