I'm a biased reviewer by any measure since I am a volunteer docent there every third Sunday. Its a cool place where you can picnic or fly your kites and drones and there is supposed to be a geocache down there. The 1833 US flag...More

Elk Neck State Park is beautiful. To get to the lighthouse you have to walk a mile path which is okay for adults but not that fun for kids. There is nothing to do at the lighthouse but take pictures. North East beach and swimming...More

Great please to visit with family and friends if you like to see the bay. You will know more about history in this place. Take some picture and claim up the lighthouse to see the view of the Bay

Rangers are uber friendly and helpful! The campground area is meticulously maintained. The trails by the campground are a series of very short hikes - maybe 0.2 miles each and they wind around the park. They have a nice little playground. I wanted to give...More

Great little hike to the lighthouse and back. The view when you arrive at the lighthouse is awesome! The Chesapeake Bay is below and you can see the 3 rivers that flow into it. Hair raising cliffs add to the thrill!

We decided to take a drive and see the lighthouse on our visit to North East. I'm glad we talked to somebody the night before and she said it was about a mile walk to the lighthouse. Wear appropriate footwear!! We went midmorning and it...More

Restrooms at the park office. Watch for wood sticking up on some trails. Would not recommend when leaves on the ground but nice in summer.

If I had known it was more than 1.6 mile round trip from the parking area to see the lighthouse I would not have wasted my time. Ended up drenched in sweat and my brachycephalic dog panting his butt off. Had to beg some water...More

The Maryland leash law applies to this park. If you go online and Google dog parks or dog beaches in Maryland (or by county), you will find plenty of areas to take your dog(s) and let them run loose.
