Have been going here for years. Best park around. Great fishing pier, doggie beach, pavillions and playgrounds for the kids. Sunday afternoons in the summer time, the are concerts.

Downs Park has trails (paved and packed dirt/sand) for walking and biking, a playground, dog park, and music on the "beach." Great for picnics, relaxing, viewing wildlife, and getting exercise in a lovely setting.

...look no further. Downs Memorial Park provides peace and solitude in a beautiful nature filled environment. If not a hiker, enjoy a beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay from one of many sitting areas or fishing pier. So many other things to enjoy, my wife...More

This park is honestly my favorite. It's peaceful and beautiful but also the perfect place for riding bikes, having a picnic, hiking or even walking your dogs. The view is my weak spot. Closes at sunset during the summer and you have to pay when...More

Great. place for a nice hike with or without your dog in a safe environment. Views are fantastic around the Chesapeake and the walking paths are well marked. Bring your bike or walking shoes and enjoy the area.

Gorgeous setting, right on the Chesapeake, but a whole lot more. Community events, dog beach, nature center, and miles of paved forest trails make this an ideal location, worth the nominal entrance fee.If you're lucky enough to be a "senior" then get a life-time pass...More

I go to Downs Park almost every day to walk my dog around the 3.5 mile perimeter trail. It's a beautiful place -- well maintained with a satisfying balance between nature and civilization. The Mother's Garden is stunningly beautiful throughout most of the year, and...More

I love to go to this park to walk around and just relax. It’s usually very quiet and is right on the water so it has great views!
