The first time before I went to the Ward I thought "Really, you have to be kidding me!". Once there it was apparent that this is truly a museum of incredible art. The craftsmanship is incredible and very unique. I quickly developed a deep appreciation for the detail that had to go into each piece. Do yourself a favor and... More

We went to the Ward Museum not expecting much. But, WOW! Thus museum is amazing. The decoys and wooden artwork are simply amazing. The intricately carved waterfowl is so beautiful. Please make this a must see. You will not regret it!!

It was a rainy day at Ocean City with nothing to do but sit in a hotel room so we checked out the AAA book and drove over to Salisbury. SO GLAD we did. A small but excellent museum dedicated to wildfowl art - mostly decoys and sculptures. The sculptures in miniatures and lifesize were amazing works of art -... More

This place will probably hold your interest more than you think it will. Birds are so realistic. I wish I could have had someone open the display cases so I could make sure THEY WEREN'T REALLY FEATHERS. They don't look wooden, how can these people do this! Even if you're not a bird person, the is beautiful art. Also a... More

Certainly worth a visit. If you're a city person and revel in scoffing at rural life - definitely go. A museum dedicated to duck decoys is going to make you laugh your socks off and sneer until you're back home safely tucked up with a gourmet espresso. But you'll change your mind when you pass into the galleries. The Ward... More

My 18 year old geek grandson visited me in Ocean City, Md. for the umpteenth time. Since it was not a good beach day I had run out of new things to do. Then I remembered the Ward museum. I have lived on Md.,s eastern shore for 23 years but had never been to this museum. What a treasure. We... More

Went here for 2016 labor day weekend, today, was very very informative. Gift shop is tastefully done and the cashier is very polite and patient, even when my for my four year old would ask questions. Hubby and I enjoyed the wild life trail along with the educational films, live puppet show for youngsters. Great atmosphere and Honor belongs to... More
