There is a 1 mile paved path around Brookside Gardens in the Wheaton Regional Park. Therefore, it is imminently walkable. There are lakes, rose gardens, other flower gardens, an indoor botanical garden, and a butterfly house.

slow stroll in a great setting, part of the Wheaton Regional Park. Year round special programs, like the butterfly show, water lights, etc. Or just great to find a pot to relax.

A lovely place to visit, great way to spend an afternoon with friends or family, or even by yourself. Free admission. Plants, flowers, wildlife. Educational experiences, sometimes even plant sales and butterfly exhibits.

I've been to Brookside in summer and also in early spring. Each visit displayed beauty of the seasonal plants. There are several miles of walking trails and plenty of benches to take a break to savor the scenery.

Will there be a lot of butterflies to see in late June in your butterfly exhibit, or does it vary from week to week?

Butterflies are enclosed in a greenhouse so there are hundreds. There are also butterflies in the gardens but not so many.
