We had the pleasure to be at Chatham Pier and Fish Market when a fisherman came in with his catch for the day. Sea lions and seagulls were there to greet the boat because they knew what was coming. At one point the gulls were...More

Interesting spot to see how locals deliver, weigh, and pack their daily catch. Nice big deck for travelers to stand on to view the boats, seals, and maybe a hunky young fisherman or two. Ha! Get the clam strip roll at the fish market house...More

We visited the fish market around 3.15pm and the boats were coming in, stood and watched the fisherman unload all the fish which was great to see. Lots of seals swimming about too! Worth a visit!

I read recently that they have the best clam chowder on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. I have had my share of chowder from all of the New England states and although the chowder was OK it definitely was not the best. Why? In a pint...More

Came for lunch. Caters to mainly fresh fish and sandwich Take-Out with close-by picnic tables. We had very good clam bellies, with slaw and fries. After lunch walked to pier to watch crew unload fresh fish from the boats. Limited parking.

Wonderful lobster rolls and terrific fresh seafood on a working fish pier that provides all the entertainment you want as the fishing boats offload their catch as the seals and seabirds try to snatch a morsel or two. Take out only but plenty of places...More

We were there to buy some fresh food on Monday, Sep 11, unfortunately the Fish Market was close, but had really good time standing on the Deck and watching the ocean and the birds.

Rustic fish market and restaurant for take-out. This is a working fish pier with a public observation deck. It gets very noisy from the gulls when the boats come to unload their catch and the seals are never far away looking for a handout. Great...More

Great food...fresh and fast. To be able to sit outside and watch the seals play in the water, doesn't get any better than this. To be able to watch the Commercial Fisherman come in with their daily catch while you are eating fish and chips...More

This is a must see. The fishing boats pull up to the pier and unload literally thousands of pounds of different fish. It is a messy business and hard work but very educational and full of local flavor. Seals and gulls abound looking for scraps....More

Captain Mike on the Magic. Visit his website. Abdow Magic I believe. Or Abdow fishing. He leaves from the Chatham fish pier. Good sized boat. We used him for a striper charter and it was great.

There are some seals around when there are fishing boats at the docks. Otherwise you can see seals hauled out at low tide opposite the Chatham Bars Inn.
