Well done

I live in danvers and often people forget that a lot of the witch happenings occurred here in Danvers. Nice monument tastefully done.

Pretty cool and easy to get to. Lots of history and kind of sad to see that this was a real event in time WOW

It was a very somber visit. Loved the history of the area, took some nice pictures. Very calming area also.

Quiet, in a residential neighborhood. But, just a modern day memorial to the lives lost during the craziness of the Salem With Trials. If you have the time, and are walking about Danvers for the day anyway, definitely should go. But to go out of your way, expecting something that is a must see and do related to the Witchcraft... It was interesting but not what I expected, I'd hoped for it to be a bit more exciting to look at, however it is old, so I'm not sure what I was looking for...

What struck me more than anything is this Memorial was in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It added to the reverence of this place. There was a Barbie someone put on one of the shackles which was just plain disrespectful. I know our society isn't into manners much these days, or respect, but come on!

It's nice to visit if you're interested in the witch trials but probably not worth going out of your way for. It lists all the names of those that died

Just what it says a Memorial with names dates what charges were how death occurred. Upkeep on site was very neat

It was a somber feeling to read some of the quotes of the victims of the hysteria. Definitely worth a quick stop by. It is an example of our history and one we should never return to. It's a great place for history buffs that can recognize some of the names on the wall.

The modern town of Salem had very little to do with the witch trials hysteria. That all took place in modern day Danvers (what was then Salem Village). Danvers, however, really downplays the witch trials connection and some of the important spots, the real deal not the fake touristy stuff in modern Salem, can be easy to miss. This is... More
