As seems the case with many of Cape Cod's attractions, the Wing Fort House was not open when we visited just a few days prior to Memorial Day weekend. We would have enjoyed seeing the inside but all we could do was to look into...More

I am a Wing descendant, thus thrilled to finally get inside this interesting historic home of my earliest Wing ancestor in New England. Even though the earliest habitation here dated from 1641 and was basically earthworks, a small house was erected, then redesigned and actually...More

It was fascinating to see our ancestors' home. We appreciated David, caretaker and archaeologist, and his knowledge as tour guide. He said it was estimated with 12 generations of Wing's that we number over 60,000 of us now! Though I married into the family, my...More

One word - Incredible. This home has been owned by the same family for over 300 years. It's amazing that a house like this still exists. Loved the tour and the stories.

I enjoy visiting this house on my trips to Cape Cod. The caretaker is excellent. His knowledge of the property and colonial history/beliefs really brings it to life. Lots of interesting things to see in the house. Worth a visit!

When my family visited the Wing Fort House this was the second time I had visited it. The first time was in the late 60's as a teen. At that time there were few furnishings, but was interesting because I am a Wing. The second...More

Hey, ladies, check out the tall, handsome silver fox that runs the place. Oh, the house was very, very interesting, too.

This site is beautifully located, quiet, and historically important. Our tour guide was the best I've ever experienced. He knew all about the house and local history, and was a professional archaeologist who used his knowledge to illuminate the story of the house and its...More

We are thinking of coming there the last of August. My grandmother was a Wing and I have been wanting to come down there. Could you tell me of a good place to spend a night or two that would not require me taking out a personal loan at a bank? Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely, Dolores Knowlan Abbott. P.S. My grandmother was Irene Wing (daughter of Chester Wing).
