Cape Cod Potato Chip Lughthouse

Most amazing view from high above the beach. Never too crowded and lots of waves to play in. New path this year shoul make it easier to enjoy- no more giant staircase.

Nauset Light has an interesting history. It was one of three lighthouses in this area. In 1911, rotating devices were installed in lighthouses eliminating the need for more than one at a specific location. Nauset Light was one of the original lighthouses in Chatham. It was dismantled and moved to Eastham. Due to erosion, the Nauset Light was moved from... More

My husband and I decided to take a trip to the lighthouse one weekend to overcome cabin fever from having had a week of bad weather. The weather still wasn't great when we visited, but having an overcast, misty day made it a very picaresque scene. We parked in the beach parking lot and walked to the lighthouse. It is... More

The Cape lighthouses offer a wonderful history of the Cape and Islands. The park service gives great tours of the lighthouses and lifesaving structures. A few years back, they ran a junior ranger program from a variety of locations that provided information giving younger travelers a fun learning experience. Check at the information stations or with a ranger to see... More

We were taking a day to drive to the tip of Cape Cod in June and picked out a few lighthouses to visit.  This was one of them.  We ended up parking by the Three Sisters Lighthouse and walked to Nauset. It's the lighthouse on some potato chips and there were a bunch of tourist taking pictures with the bag... More

The Nauset Light in Eastham is located right off of a beautiful beach. It was one of many great photo opportunities while in Cape Cod. If you love lighthouses, this is a pretty one.

A quick family stop pleasing to everyone. It is located right next to Nauset beach which has a large parking lot and great walking trail on the beach for kids. A short drive (1/4 mile) away is the three sisters light house and museum. Definitely worth taking 30 -minutes of you trip time.

The are many lighthouses in the area which are very well preserved. During the season tours are available to go inside. But even in the fall, it's a beautiful historic site.
