It's an extremely picturesque view of the ocean and Orleans. There are short trails that you can walk. You can drive and just enjoy the view or sit on the bench and have lunch.

We had been to Ft Hill several times in the past, but this year we visited the area with a park ranger for a guided walking tour. Our ranger, John Hanlon, was excellent. He was well versed in the history of the area, the fauna...More

Hiking at Fort Hill offers a variety of trails, all quite easy, and amazing views of Nauset Marsh and Cove. It's quiet, full of wildflowers and full of birds and butterflies (in July).

Someone commented dogs allowed on leash. Not true! Bobwhites! Nice hilly trail with spectacular views.

The house is interesting and recently painted. The guide, an army air Corp veteran was most knowledgeable, but defiantly do the loop hike from the parking lot. Open meadows and nice woodland.

Don't miss the short side-loop to the pavilion at Skiff Hill, where you can see a boulder with grooves used by Native Americans to sharpen their tools.
