Parked at the Salt Pond Visitor Center and rode our bikes in to the beach. It's a two mile bike ride with twists and hills. This beach is very popular and fills up fast. Water in August was 60 and refreshing. Definitely could see spending...More

Only down side to coast guard beach is that there is no onsite parking, however there is a very convenient shuttle service. A few times we had a shuttle driver named Eric, he is a charming and informative guide, offering great insight into the area...More

Great beach with easy access. Love the tram. A lot of seals pass by as you sit on the beach. Good facilities.

Access to this beach by shuttle was a breeze, and the beach was absolutely beautiful. Of course, it helped that the weather in early August was picture-perfect. We enjoyed seeing all the seals lazing on a sandbar and occasionally slipping into the water. Gotta appreciate...More

Beautiful golden beach. Three car parks, two were full but the first car park with the shuttle bus had plenty of room and the bus was running every five or so minutes. $20 to park all day but could use the ticket on several other...More

The day was overcast but we spent the evening watching the surfers and the seals playing in the water. Very pretty beach and yes I would recommend visiting.

There are no stairs or big inclines, you just walk right onto the beach. You have to take a tram from the parking lot but it's very easy and comes about every 10 min.

I do not know. The parking at the beach for me is expensive however, there is a small parking close to the beach I think right hand but is for two hours. You can go on your bike is very nice ride!
