Very pretty lighthouse. The lighthouse serves as a memorial for children. We have taken our Christmas card picture at this lighthouse.

This is one of my fave beaches on the island. The water is so calm and clear here and the sand is super soft. Great place for younger kids 2 splash around in the water.

Easy walk from town center. Beautiful beach and lagoon. Lots of Beach Roses. To access public walkway its hidden between last two houses on the road. Or you can access further down from road side.

This lighthouse is quintessential New England. You can walk right out to it and sit on the beach and watch the boats go by. Great view of the town and the HarborView Hotel.

We parked in Edgartown and strolled around the shops in beautiful weather. As we walked out to the lighthouse, we enjoyed looking at the lovely homes, which once belonged to whaler captains. The ocean was calm, and the view delightful.

We like to hit the volleyball around (no net) and go for a swim when we go to the beach... The sand is loaded with sharp shells, so we had to wear shoes. The wind came up, too, which isn't perfect for a beach visit....More

Such a pleasant place to visit, sit and relax. The beach here is definitely calmer than South Beach with none of the undertow, so it is perfect for children.

Beautiful and very calm beach nestled among the beautiful houses in Edgartown. Difficult to decide whether to look at the ocean or the houses. Water was freezing.

Great location for a day at the beach with family and kids. Wonderful view. Great for a picnic. No waves. Not good for older kids.

Parking for Lighthouse Beach is tricky. Very few spots in Edgartown, and no real public parking except for the small lot down by the Town Dock. My suggestion is to just keep driving up and down the streets near the... More
