Although it was the end of February, the daffodils were already peaking through the leaves in the gardens. The millstones and anchors as well as the paths through the gardens make this garden a good place to visit any time of year, even if the plantings are not in bloom. Several unique specimen trees.

Mr. Spohr collected notable old anchors which are scattered through out this enchanting salt water tidal garden. Was a notable local secret for many years but open to all and available for private garden parties or awesome wedding site!

This is such a lovely little hideaway treasure! Beautiful in March for Daffodil days and May when the Rhododendrons are out. Peaceful & tranquil little walk, very enjoyable!

Although there wasn't much blooming in August you could still get a relaxing feeling just walking around the garden pathways. Sitting by the water was very peaceful too. When I visited the gardens, I was the only one there and that increased the serenity of the location.

This was a peaceful place to visit. There was not much blooming in August, but it would really be pretty when the rhododendrons are blooming. The nautical items placed throughout the garden were interesting. I don't remember exactly how many acres it is, but it was a good size. Unlike other places we visited in the area, this one had... Spohr Gardens is a nice place to stop if you are riding your bike or just getting a feel of there area (though I would not make a day trip out of it). There is not much to explore- you can cover the grounds in about 20 minutes. Because it is a perennial garden there may or may not be... More

Just a lovely experience to visit Spohr Gradens I've been here maybe 5 or 6 times. No fee just walk right in and tour the gardens. Bring a camera as you will want to take many pictures. This place is picture perfect.

We stopped in for a nice walk. Not much was in bloom during our visit. But we enjoyed the views of the water and the few flowers that were in bloom. We only saw 3 other people during our visit. There are some paths along the water and some through the trees. Easy walking. You could spend a couple minutes... More

We have visited this spot a few times but always in June when the Spring foliage is past peak and the summer bloomers haven't peaked yet, but if you have never gone it is a peaceful respite.
