This is a beautiful beach with nice sand, warm water and minimal waves. Showers and snacks are available. Parking is tight so either go early or late in the day in order to avoid long lines for parking.

Old silver beach is a popular beach along the Shining sea highway popular for a dip to cool down during your cycle ride. A lovely setting.

Old Silver faces west, so the sunsets are amazing. The beach is also the best combination of sand/warm water on the Cape. The south facing beaches tend to be more rocky, while Old Silver is smooth sand, and the waters of Buzzards Bay are very...More

Arrived 2nd July staying at the SeaCrest Hotel and could see the Public Beach from our room. Could see that it was crazy busy with hoards of people on the beach for a few days but dropped off around the 5th then became quite pleasurable...More

Just a great beach, not a long drive after you go over the bridge. Great for families or couples, plenty of food places nearby.

Old Silver beach is actually two beaches. The right hand side for Falmouth residents with stickers the left side public with a $20.00 parking fee. Nice family oriented beach, small waves and good sand, life guard until 5:00 pm. Free access after 4:00 pm.

Soft sand and warm water. Crowded on hot days with limited parking by 1030. Resident lot easily filled but can park free with sticker in non resident overflow parking. Only complaint is life guards do not enforce no smoking. Good "creatures" across the street in...More

The view is nothing to write home about. The public part of the beach is very small and was loaded with families with small children. The restroom facilities were clean. There are better beaches on Cape Cod.

I grew up coming to Old Silver beach, and now that I'm an adult still love coming here! The water is calm and clean (usually), and parking is reasonable. However, once the lot is full, goold luck finding parking nearby! Highly recommend coming early.

You can use the small beach tents or wind breaks in the summer, most just use umbrellas. Its very busy in the summer and can get quite crowded. After sept 1 tho the beach is much less busy and often people will have a larger... More
