First time we were here - we were camping down the street. After 5 we didn't have to pay for parking, not sure it would be worth the $25 or $30 they normally charge. We always hit it at low tide - the beach went...More

The parking lot and clam shack leaves a lot to be desired but once you get to the beach, this is one of the best beach in New England. The water is crystal clear blue that I'm happy to let my kids swim in it....More

I visited this beautiful beach in the early spring, and fell in love. Returning to Boston for a a little break I knew I was going to visit this beach, and enjoy my time. I've been to beaches all over our beautiful nation, but never,...More

Wonderful clean beach with soft sand, and scenic, lighthouse view. We arrived after 5 pm so no parking fee. Cold water but fun to enjoy the beach and the rock area. Around 7-7:30 pm tiny biting gnats appeared and we made a run for it!

Beautiful beach. The road is a bit windy and hilly, but persevere. Bath house, and a wide stretch of lovely sandy beach.

Great, Sandy beach with no under tow. Best of all, around low tide you can walk on the long sand bar. Also, lots of little critters in the tide pools.

Pros: Beautiful clean beach. The tides are neat to see and create a sandbar. The scenery is just great. It is worth seeing, especially with children. Cons: The public restrooms & showers close early (6:00). Parking pass is needed.

Such a beautiful beach! Loved being able to walk so far along the beach, especially at low tide. When low tide is a long walk to the water. Quiet beach with beautiful homes along the shore.

We didn't see any flies when we were there. No insects of any kind, actually!

I think you will be able to get a spot. It's good to go either early am or later afternoon. I'm not sure about here, but a Good Harbor beach parking is cheaper after 3 and free after 5.

No, not really. There is no on-street parking and it's over two miles to the next road. Some folks take a taxi in!
