You don't need to be a swordboat captain (Is there any thing better in the world?) to picture heading out into a perfect storm, or avoiding one, thanks to Ten Pound Light. As a beacon to thousands of Gloucestermen, the light refuses to stay in...More

You can see the lighthouse from the Fisherman's Memorial and watch boats sailing in the harbor. It was very picturesque.

You need to travel through the stone gates and past Beauport Museum. Worth the winding narrow road and past beautiful mansions which will bring you to your destination plus Dog Bar Breakwater. Good for sitting or sunning.

Gorgeous island in the center of the Gloucester Harbor. Accessible by boat, kayak or paddleboard. There is a lot of seaglass and poison ivy so just be careful if you start walking around in the trees.

A very peaceful place worth the trip. If you make Gloucester a stop along your visits of New England, stop here! You won't regret it

Deserted island accessible only by boat. The island was thick with seagulls so you had to be careful where you walked. It was fun to take land our dinghy on the beach and watch the schooners sail by.
