That is about it! It is a great photo spot and place to view the ocean while reading about the history and taking in the salt water air. Other than that there isn't much else at the monument. You can take a walk along side the sidewalk and/or railing near the water. We ventured down by the beach and looked... More

I've wanted to see this memorial for years and really enjoyed seeing not only the statue, but also all the plaques of the hundreds of people lost at sea over the years. Parking was easy and beautiful views of the harbor.

The statue is internationally known and a must for anyone touring the Northshore area. Great photos can be taken of the ocean and a great walk to exercise and look at the ocean. They are improving the whole area. Parking is on the street and can be a challenge at peak times.

Wonderful statue honoring fishermen everywhere. Simple but important. Just takes a few minutes to enjoy.

Stopped here while touring around Gloucester. The monument is interesting but not worth a special trip - combine this with the views, parks and other sites and you will have a great trip. Note that the walks are under construction so a large part of the surrounding area is not accessible. There is easy access and parking and the view... More

A lot of people don't realize how dangerous fishing once was and still is. A great place to end your day in Gloucester.

Beautiful monument where you can enjoy great views after a nice walk around the maritime way, there are coffee shops and ice cream places around.

With that said, the statue is in terrible disrepair.. take care of it! The view is great and it is Aggie place to walk.
