We stayed at Cape Ann Motor Inn at the South end of the beach and it was simply beautiful. It is long wide stretch of gorgeous beach with a few rocky out croppings and an island with a couple lighthouses. Can't miss.

Gloucester beaches are gorgeous. The problem with all their beaches are the fact that the parking charges are outrageous, so you are unable just to take a moment and feel the sand on your feet and not spend a great deal of time there. What...More

We visited Rockport in July. Because we rented an apartment on the main street, where all the shops are, the owner gave us a pass to us for Long Beach. We drove over on a Wednesday morning. The beach provided a perfect stop for adults...More

Awesome beach with action waves and rocks to scamble on; tides are swift and changing, especially under the footbridge, so watch kids carefully. Parking rarely full, if one walks from end of lot, even in August. Stunning and fun and empty off season

This is a loooong beach and sheltered cove. The waves are gentle and the shallow water extends far from the beach. The tidal pools inside the sand bars warm up quick and make for some cool pools for the very young. Some good shells and rock...More
