Stayed at a small resort just at the beginning of the beach. Went for a walk one morning up and down the beach and there's really not much going on. Coffee shop here and there, but all the stores are boarded up.
I lived here for 10 years, and I cannot understand why this town can't thrive. The sheer number of empty storefronts is amazing to me. It's sad. The town has some great people, but it needs someone with vision to bring it into the 21st...More
We visited at the start of September, arriving on Labor day when a lot of the local restaurants and cafe closed down. We stayed for 4 nights at the Nantasket Beach Resort.
This review though is for the beach, which we thought was lovely, especially...More
We had high expectations for this resort but sadly they were not met. Why because it looked as though it needed a big clean up and local traders were not in our opinion very friendly. Even given the fact that it is a resort closed...More
We reached the beach late in the afternoon on a weekend. We were kind of fortunate enough the watch the sunset. It was a serene experience, and a chance to be one with nature and family members. The parking is very near to the beach....More
Made a reservation and needed to cancel less than 24 hours later due to an elderly parent’s ill health but hotel will not allow that - according to their policy, we needed to have cancelled on a date that was 11 days EARLIER from when...More
Spent a pleasant afternoon here with family. Walked up and down the beach and had a nice lunch..although many storefronts are closed, which was somewhat disappointing. Still a nice way to spend the afternoon.
It’s an ok beach soft rolling waves with gin clear water there’s a long shoal of rocks right at the break line that makes it treacherous getting in the water but once your past it it’s fine. The beach itself is a bit narrow and...More
This can be a decent beach to dive in, except the parking is a pain. Parking here can get expensive. I like to arrive here to dive only when it is not crowded and only after checking the tide table.
Plenty of crustaceans and fish...More

It depends upon the place. Most check ins are at 3PM and checkouts are usually at 11AM with late checkouts at 12noon. The 3-4 hours allows for the hotel staff to clean the rooms between guests. If you arrive early, perhaps you can sign in early and they could store your bags until the room is ready for you to occupy. Call and ask your hotel directly.

I'm not sure - unfortunately I don't have a dog so I'd go to their website and you could probably find the info there. I do know that other MA beaches do not allow dogs on the beach during the day until after Sept 15th. After the lifeguards leave - usually 6pm - I saw people on the beach with their dogs so I don't think it's a problem after hours.
