Took a stroll through Fort Sewall during our trip to Marblehead. It's located right off a cute residential area. The excellent views of the harbor can be enjoyed sitting down on one of the many benches that dot the perimeter of the park. During the...More

Whenever we visit Marblehead, we always take a walk to Fort Sewall. Some of the old fort remains, but it's really the views that make this a must-see place. In good weather, watching sailboats and motor boats sail in and out of the harbor is...More

There isn't much left of the fort but the location is fantastic. You get great views of the water around you. Bring a picnic and sit on a bench!

Great views of the harbor, lighthouse and ocean. You can see all the boats and some houses on the Neck from here. Good place to watch the sunrise. Also a great place to play frisbee.

Interesting historical facts, spectacular view of the bay. Easy access, a close walk from the Inn. If you travel with your dog, a lot of locals take their pet there.

All of my Marblehead reviews start the same. Marblehead is like a wonderful little jewelry box. By foot, walking just a few blocks... By car, driving just a few miles... You can see and feel all of the jewlels. Ft. Sewall is a place you...More

My kids have always loved to hang out at Fort Sewall. We often take picnic lunches there. At low tide, the beach is also fun. Lots of critters in the water and rocks to climb. There are bathrooms, but they are not always open.

After a nice lunch at the Barnacle, it was a perfect walk to help digest our lobster rolls! The view is spectacular, and it is then a ice short stroll through the lovely old streets to the shops along Washington.

I think off-season on leash it's ok, but am mot sure. Across the street is Riverhead, where dogs seem to be allowed.
