It was a typical nippy afternoon in New England. The leaves were wonderful shades of red and orange and yellow. The water is always tranquil as it makes all things quiet down. We liked walking the trails and sharing nice talk. I love hearing the Birds sing. This place is a great outside get-a-way as it forces you to calm... More

We had a wonderful time at Broadmoor. We hiked several different trails (they all intersect), for a total time of about 2 hours. We saw many different birds including cardinals, blue jays, and a bird of prey. Turtles were also quite abundant. The waterfalls and ponds made the sanctuary quite unique. Entry was $5 for adults, $4 for children and... More

This was my first time hiking in the Broadmore Sanctuary. I am an avid hiker and I would rate this hike as one of the best in southern New England. The terrain varies from wooded areas to meadows with numerous ponds and vernal pools. The length of my hike today was 6 miles, however, if you are not in shape... More

What a lovely place to walk round and take in the scenery at your own pace! The visitors centre were very helpful telling us of the history of the place and about the various trails. We set off with our map, which is essential, as I feel it would be easy to get lost although we were told blue markers... More

I went there twice. It's a quite and clean place. Good for family. There are several trails. I just tried the easiest one.

We come here quite a bit and the walk is easy enough for my elderly parents who have some trouble walking. They bring their walking sticks and its no problem. The kids love the sun bathing turtles. We have come in winter too and its just lovely.

Broadmoor has something for everyone and it's big enough that visitors can really stretch their legs. We have visited several times and would like to go even more often.

Wonderful place to walk with young children! Many easy to walk trails and a boardwalk built over water which is great for watching bird life!
