Cottages!

The "gingerbread cottages" are cute. Park and spend 30 minutes or so just strolling the park loop and seeing the cute houses.

Loved walking around here and hearing our guide tell us the history. Gingerbread cottages are just lovely. The tabernacle stained glass windows are beautiful. Recommend. Would come back here.

At the heart of the Wesleyan Grove in Oak Bluffs is the Martha's Vineyard Campground Tabernacle. The area is well known for Gingerbread Cottages so this Tabernacle offers spirituality with color all around you. It was empty at the time of visit. A huge structure and its colored windows are indeed eye catching. Sit and enjoy a peaceful time with... More

Lots of gingerbread, colorful cottages in a beautiful, park-like setting. History and tradition on display.

The tabernacle is in the middle of the Martha's Vineyard Camp meeting Association (MVCMA). You are already going to be amazed walking through the narrow streets of the community. You'll be even more amazed when you see this large, open air pavilion with hundreds of benches and chairs just sitting there in the park. We went when it was empty... More

We went to see the tabernacle as it was a place to see in Oak Bluff. It was fenced off, and you could see inside. There really wasn't much to see other than a large covered area with a number of seats. The best part was seeing the gingerbread houses surrounding the tabernacle.

If you are going to illumination, a hosted movie night or an outdoor speaking event, this becomes a five star event. During the average day however, it is an grand place to look at and think back on the history that occurred around it, but it in itself you won't spend much time at. Parking is difficult unless you are... More
