We visited Tolland State Forest Campground in July this year, what a beautiful place! We spent a few nights on site 30, and while the location to the bathroom was great, the access to the water from our site was pretty much non-existent. We were right on the water, but were on what may have been the steepest campsite in... More

Came here with my toddler to check out the day-use picnic area and beach. The area and lake were beautiful, and it was easy to forget you were only 30-40 minutes away from the center of Westfield. The beach area isn't huge, but on a Wednesday there was plenty of room, and plenty of parking available. The water was warm... More

We had a great time ,our site was right on the water. The kids were able to go right in the water from our site. Everyone was extremely friendly both fellow campers and Rangers ( Dan and Jim were really nice). Our kids can't wait to go back!

Just returned from a weekend camping on site 20. The site was great, Clean and Level, path down to a small landing that allowed two beach chairs and an easy dive into the water. Restrooms were immaculate. However, the noise was too much all day and night. Boat noise 6:30 Am through dusk. Music from another campsite 11:00 PM till... More

3 of us stayed here last weekend (Columbus Day weekend 2015) and had so much fun. It was definitely a bit chilly, but we had a nice little fire to keep us warm. The campgrounds feature a picnic table and a fire pit with a grate at each campsite, which was extremely useful for cooking. Quiet hours begin at 10pm,... More

We have camped here several times, but only in June or September (off the main season!) and it is fabulous! There are a bunch of sites that don't look like anything worth booking, but there are a ton of great sites also! We just left from a long weekend at site 87, which very well might be the best site... We've been camping at Tolland for a few years now, and I used to come here on overnights with my sleepaway camp back in the '80's. I still enjoy it but it's not without some negatives. The pros: - Superclean bathrooms. Seriously, I have never seen a public restroom so clean, let alone at a campground - Nice waterfront campsites... More

I grew up camping at Tolland State forest. It's just your basic campground- but in my opinion it's perfect. Best enjoyed if you have a boat, jet ski, canoe, or kayak, as the main attraction is Otis reservoir. The reservoir is beautiful, full of wildlife, the water is clean, there are plenty of places to peacefully kayak in or to... More

We stayed overnight in a tent site as close to the water as possible. It's nearly impossible to get a good site location without booking months in advance but we were lucky with the option we picked. Overall, this is a nice well-kept state forest with clean facilities. However, it was overpopulated with rowdy

I made a late reservation for site 1 for 12 days at the end of August, when I arrived from Chicago I found site 1 was small and sloped with a good drop off to the lake.I went back and asked if I could get a different site and was told no not without moving every couple days.I went and looked...
