Myles Standish State Forest is a great place to camp. There are a few different "ponds" which I feel are more like lakes. My family favorite is Curlew Pond.

Went on a day trip with the family for a swim, the kids loved it there, very clean place, bathrooms are very clean, there could be a couple loud people there, but I ignore, will go there again.😁

We went camping to enjoy time away from the city. Instead, we heard the loud music and children screaming well after midnight and before 8 am. The site was next to the road so we heard traffic noise at all hours. The restroom facilities were pretty nasty inside with litter around the outside. On the plus side, the site was... More

We went tent camping and had a good experience on Reserve America, even pre-registered on-line, so I thought we were all set. Myles Standish State Forest is very big. We went to our campsite, listed as, we thought "1027". There was no sign to first go the Park Headquarters so we thought we would a person at a gate near... More

Now that the weather has heated up. We went back for another week of camping. And had a very enjoyable week. we chose to stay for a couple of weeknights as the weekends were all booked. Turned out to be a great choice the camp grounds were quiet. The water was refreshing for a swim and the fishing was good.... More

Although I love the natural beauty of Myles Standish, the campground itself is a mess. We camped one night, in a tent, July 16th at Charge pond loop F. To be honest they were having a centennial celebration that day, so maybe there were more people visiting than normal. However, with this being said, every bathroom I entered was disgusting.... We have been camping exclusively in state parks our entire lives and this is the only time that I have felt compelled to report a negative experience at a campground. We camped at Myles Standish about 2o years ago and didn't it was ok. Upon check in last Friday night there were 3 campers ahead of us and it took... More

From downtown Plymouth about 1/2 drive. Ample parking & lovely spot for walking & bird watching. I would call or look on the website to see when they have scheduled burns. We were in the area when they did & had to change plans.

This is a pretty park where my beau spent his summers as a young teen. We enjoyed seeing the ponds and camping sites. I imagine it would be a fun place to swim and fish in the warmer months. It wasn't crowded during our visit and we were glad to breathe in the fresh air and see some nature.

I came here for the first time looking for a 1/2 day hike. I found the Info center which they call the "interpretive Center," and found the Ranger to be extremely helpful. He gave me a great route to travel with the dog that was both scenic and fairly flat. The route went around the lake and was quite enjoyable.... More
