We went shortly before the sunset. Parking was free and the light on the marshes around was beautiful. This boardwalk is a work of love and it's unusually long. Really worth a stop!

We went in the evening to watch sunset. The parking lot was filling up with teenagers. The boardwalk looks cool but it was uneven and part of it had no hand rails. We bailed out early.

My friends and I had never seen anything like the boardwalk in Sandwich. Its a lovely walk over marshes the connects you to to the beach. The beach is nothing special at all but the boardwalk is definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful views in a relaxing atmosphere. Easy walk, although the boards were a little wonky I managed it in my heels. Dunes are lovely. Worth a little drive.

The boardwalk is a fun place to visit on a warm sunny day. During high tide kids like to jump off the bridge, although the bottom is mudding and has small crabs. Actully some llke like to go crabbing too.

Our kids enjoyed this as they with locals jump at high tide into the river. Was cold in river. Bring a towel to dry off after each jump. Parked in local car park nearby at $15 for a whole day. Went to beach as well....More

Worth a visit, especially after 4pm when parking is free. Pretty area but disappointed that the water's edge and several feet in are rocky. We enjoy walking along the water's edge but it wasn't really doable with either bare feet or flip-flops. Rocks are pebble...More

The story is wonderful and the boardwalk is beautiful. Worth a stop to enjoy. Changes with the tide, so never gets old. Take time to enjoy!

Went to the boardwalk two evenings in a row. Parking is free after 4PM. The first night was cloudy and second night was gorgeous and low tide. The views from both directions can be breathtaking as you walk to and from the marsh with the...More

Truly a hidden jem. Spent a few hours kayaking with Ecotourz, enjoyed the kids jumping off Boardwalk Bridge, and lunch on the beach. A wonderful day.

It is about 3/4 of a mile in total. If you use the parking lot farthest from the beach, about a 20 minute walk in total

They do charge to park in the summer if you don't have a sticker. Unless you get there early, they don't ticket cars that get there before they start charging.
