By foot or canoe, enjoy incomparable views of the Charles River at its most serene as it slowly winds between granite walls. Or amble among pine groves and past wetlands along seven miles of trails and footpaths.

Although its late fall, there's still plenty of autumn colors which makes for a really nice woodland hike. Hubby & I took advantage of a few hours on a recent Sunday to get out and enjoy surroundings we've not yet explored. Rocky Narrows is part of the Trustees of Reservations in Sherborn, MA . The Reservation encompasses a smaller area... More

New England woodlands are just wonderful. I'm so thrilled to have grown up in them and still have them available so near by. And there are so many places to go and find something new. Getting there is half the fun and finding a place for eats after is just as exciting. This particular woodlands isn't breath-taking, but a brisk... More

This is a wonderful area full of many different habitats and a variety of trails. Well marked and maintained. Limited parking keeps the crowds small but beware that you might not find a spot for your car.

Beautiful place for a quiet walk and the hike to the overlook is not as challenging as I thought after reading the description on line. Very limited parking is available but that ensured not encountering crowds.

There are miles of hiking trails here. This is a Trustees of Reservation property. It was their first property, acquired from Frederick Law Olmstead in 1897. Some of the trails are part of the Bay Circuit. The vistas from the higher ledges are outstanding. It's also a nice place to picnic. Parking is limited, especially at the south entrance.

Lovely spot for hiking near the city. Fantastic views of the Charles River, woods and river flats. Lots of different ways to approach the King Phil Overlook - avoid the trails used by the horses. The horses cause a lot of erosion and the trails used by equestrians are very rocky and in poor condition. Great spot for mountain biking.

Great place to stroll with smaller folk. With the two major lookout points over the Charles River, its not just a hike - but you have a destination to motivate anyone. Hardly ever see too many people which is nice, its a beautiful spot that we visit often. Only downside is parking which is extremely limited and often taken up... More

Great walking on different terrain. Wonderful view of the river from lookout. Walks can be short or longer depending on route. Map available.

not big, not much variation in terrain. Parking better than normal. Good if you are local, otherwise easy to find better.

Best approach is by canoe. Otherwise, the trails are nice but e prepared to hike a bit. Fine views of the Charles River.
