Need a rental car, seemed pretty far for a bike trip but the island has several very long bike trails. Even a week past daffodil weekend, the daffodils are everywhere!

It was fun to see the flashing of the light every few seconds to know that the lighthouse is still operating. There are several great views from roads on either side, but not a lot of real parking. It is a classic lighthouse, but at...More

The lighthouse has gorgeous views all around. The ocean is kind of blocked by a fence, but the huge field and homes near it make it picturesque.

As a summer resident, I try to bike over to Sankaty Lighthouse a few times a summer. Plenty of history. Read up on it before you head out. Great views. Check out the erosion that is taking place as you approach the lighhouse. It's basically...More

This Lighthouse is only open on Father's Day, and during the Cranberry festival. I would recommend going early, straight to the lighthouse was there will be a line. Sometimes, if you are just 1 or 2 in your party, you can go ahead because they...More

This is a great take if you like lighthouses, are intrigued by the Nantucket challenges with erosion, love the coast, etc. It's a grand ol' light. The venue is stunning, breathtaking, but a very basic place... No guided tours, etc. but what a view and...More

This lighthouse is majestic and beautiful. It's light can be seen for miles. We have the opportunity to see it with a beautiful rainbow in the background.

Absolutely gorgeous setting for a gorgeous lighthouse. The view from the top of the bluff it sits on overlooks a good portion of the island as well as the coast (where you'll see seals!). Well worth the trip up.
