My sweetheart and I had just checked out of the Red Lion Inn. While we were staying there, the local attraction listing had information about the Berkshire Theatre Group's production of a one woman play titled "Butter to the Edges". The venue is a restored old barn just up the road from the Inn. A small theatre inside, with a... More

We attended an excellent performance of the "Bakelite Masterpiece". The smallish theater affords perfect views even from the last row (that is where we were seated. I would recommend looking online for future plays offered by the Berkshire Theatre Group in 2 locations in Stockbridge and one in Pittsfield.

Just the kind of experimental small theater you would hope is alive and well and thriving in small places in America. Constellations was an odd performance, to say the least, but nonetheless interesting and engaging with excellent acting. Good viewing. Interesting space.

I visited this theatre in August 2016 to see "Beauty and the Beast." I thought that for a local theatre company, the price of tickets were a little high. At least, that was until I saw the performance. From the costumes to the props to the performers themselves, no expense was spared. It was VERY well done. Professional, but incredibly... More

the theaters here are great--unicorn, main stage, colonial theater. Have seen some very good shows here this year. Loved Fiorello, Little Shop of Horrors, Cat on a Hot tin Roof, and just saw Stone witch which was excellent. Enjoyed the talk back for the Stone Witch. The venues are all special. The colonial is a renovated old theater that had... More

Saw the play Stone Witch" at the main stage and had excellent seats, but really every seat was great. Nice small venue for a dramatic play. Air conditioning was a bit too high,, so it was quite cold, but the seats were comfortable. Easy to get to and great spot for a Saturday matinee.

We saw Fiorello! in Stockbrige at the Unicorn Theater. The cast was young but they were terrific Others thought so too because now they are taking the show to Broadway, by invitation. Venue is small and intimate with only about 120 seats but it is not lacking in anything, other than size, to put on terrific productions.

Judd Hirsch in the Berkshires in a play worthy of Broadway. Small theatre, good seats. Note: half price available after 6 pm.

Berkshire Theatre Group provides high-quality theater experiences in a charming, old-time professional theater setting. One of many opportunities to enjoy summer stock in the Berkshires.
