I saw this house as part of the Stockbridge Christmas House tours. This was such a lovely walk through a time when life was more simple. The Mission house reminds me how life can be less complicated and beautiful - I enjoyed the tour very...More

It was nice to see the effort Mable Choate put into restoring this historic colonial house even if all the details are not historically accurate.

Not a large site, nor entirely historically accurate, but the house and small associated museum offer interesting information about the white settlement of the area. Well worth a visit if it is open when you are passing.

Compared to the many interesting homes available to visit in the Berkshires, this place would not be in my top ten.

This is not a large site but it is interesting and thoroughly charming. While exhibits man not be the original items they give some sense of the history of the place and early Stockbridge. Most rewarding.

Very interesting and the guide is very knowledgeable. He was closing as we arrived but he stayed open and gave us a very through tour. Furnishings are not original but authentic. Kudos to the House Manager for his tour.
