Great hike, but easy to get lost

Very scenic, quiet and peaceful. However, the trail map is horrific, and we spent a very long time trying to find our way back to the parking lot. At one point, we called a friend... read more

Very scenic, quiet and peaceful. However, the trail map is horrific, and we spent a very long time trying to find our way back to the parking lot. At one point, we called a friend on our cell phone to say if we weren't back in half an hour more to please call the police. I still recommend it, but... More

This is a nice park for hiking, though not all the trails are marked and the trail map at the entrance is not that clear. One can easily get lost. The terrain is hilly and not as easy a hike as in Westville Recreation Area. But for those that like to get lost in the woods, it is a nice... More

I have been hiking this for many years and it is a great place to bring the family and hike through. At the beginning there is a old mine shaft that you can go into. If you look close enough you can see bats hanging on the walls! As you go on the trails there are some collapsed mines that... More

Fun hike for all. There is a graphite mine shaft here. It's not very deep and is a dead end at the beginning of the trail. A very pretty walk and plenty of rocks for the kids to climb on. During hunting season, remember to wear bright colors!!
