good spot for lunch

While the menu was somewhat limited we enjoyed the chowder very much. The special sandwich of the day was the shrimp poo boy which a few of us ordered. It was very good.

Got brochures and gentlemen gave some suggestion. He thoughts the other two towns were better than Vineyard Haven. I thought Vineyard Haven by far, had much nicer shops...

Even though we dashed into the Martha's Vineyard Chamber of Commerce fifteen minutes before they were closing, the employee was cheerful and very helpful. We were able to get brochures, maps and a few tips for places dine locally in Vineyard Haven.

Nice people who don't give you any hint that they have had to give the same info to hundreds of people before you. They are genuine, friendly and helpful.

Chock full of information and especially maps of all the bus routes, and with the patience to explain what it all means! Thanks for your great help. I hope to return.

We did not know that October is the off season for Martha's Vineyard. The ferry only goes into Vineyard Haven and not Oak Bluff except during the Spring/Summer season. Most stores are still open but they may close earlier or not be open every day. We were fortunate to have access to a car to ride from Vineyard Haven, to... More

We had a day to spend in Martha's Vineyard and took the Ferry over, which was pretty good. But when we got to the island the Ferry office offered no assistance as to what to do or how to see the island. They did however point us to the Chamber of Commerce building two blocks down the road, which was... More

Gave me a couple of leads when looking for event tickets. He did spend some time, even though I called him at the end of the day, he was still accommodating.

Lady on duty gave us lots of good tips on how to make the mist of our time on the island. She also offered to phone a relevant company for us, gave us maps and marked out bus routes, etc.

Martha's vineyard is a small Island 45 minutes(by ferry) away from the Mainland Massachusetts(from Woodshole). If you are visiting bringing your car or rental, remember that we don't drive more than 45miles/hr here, so be respectful of slow and relax traffic-you are on vacation. This place is rather laid back and catered to chill, and thats the only way to... More
