Worcester's gem

Beautiful theater. A gem right in the middle of Worcester. And everyone who works there does all they can to make every concert and event an evening to remember. Bravo!

I was in attendance for the Men of Song performance. I had never been to the venue before. For the age of the building I felt it was in excellent condition. Bright colors on the wall, carpets clean and well tended. The bathrooms were very clean. The auditorium was a wonderful venue for the a cappella music, with the sound... More

This is that rare case where balcony actually offers better seats. At least they're at an incline. Floor seats were folding chairs, no incline (no seat numbers either), so the stage was completely invisible (especially to young children). Having said that, it's a beautiful hall with great acoustics. But don't count on seeing much unless you're in the balcony. A... More

Go to Mechanics Hall! It is a fabulous building - beautiful exterior and interior, with lots of interesting art to enjoy before and during the concerts they present. There are free "Brown Bag" lunch concerts on Wednesdays in November. During the rest of the year there is a large variety of music presented here, some concerts with a history going... More

This hall is absolutely gorgeous!!! My company used to have its annual Christmas party here before we got to be too large. I highly recommend stopping by even if there isn't a concert just to check out the architecture.

Mechanics Hall is the long standing center for the arts in Worcester, it's one of the most fabulous buildings you will find anywhere. whatever the event, it's up to the performer to make your experience better, because the building has already done it's part!!

Mechanics Hall is, perhaps, the finest antique in Worcester! The last time I was there I attended a United States Military Band Concert! As I like Sousa's marches and fine acoustics, everything came to life, big time! The ambience of Mechanics is difficult to match or beat. The decorative portions are fit for a king.

Very good historical venue which is a great location for wedding. Old but elegant venue is a must see...building. Loved carpeted wide stairs and artwork in third floor.

Mechanics Hall was saved from being demolished many years ago. Artists who have appeared here love the perfect acoustics of this magnificent hall. The best seat of the house is the center balcony at the top. Or so I heard when I had a tour of Mechanics Hall many years ago.

Musicians all love this venue--the acoustics are extraordinary and the size and architecture of this small, balconied hall makes every seat a good seat. Programming is varied but if you like the genre booked one night, this would be the place to enjoy a fine evening at much better prices than Boston. (And Dickens once lectured here, too! But if...
