Saying that this is the heart of the community is an understatement. This place houses so many events for the community and holds a special memory for every resident. They play movies, host plays, and have a relaxing room with games, books, and many more offerings. The people who work to keep this gem up and running are wonderful!

Information desk, free wifi, maps for sale... upstairs there are games and a TV, which is great if you had to check out of your cabin and need to kill time waiting for the ferry (it's right across the street!). Very welcoming. Sometimes they have movies or live music in the theatre downstairs.

Very conveniently located spot to stop and gather info re: anything you need to know about the island. You step off the ferry and it's right there! We got lots of great info here from the friendly staff. Well worth a visit if you are new to the island.

Near the Ferry, free WiFi, information about the Island, clean restrooms ,radio station in house. They show Movies and have plays in the Theatre. Check the schedule when you arrive. Very friendly person who will answer questions about the island and you can pick up brochures from the well stocked rack.

Stop in here for a hot dog and tons of information about the island and the surrounding islands! The people who work here are so friendly and knowledgable. It is stop #1 for birders- if you're into that, there's a board inside to mark down your interesting finds (when, where, what variety of bird). They have a computer center and... More

This place is the heart and soul of Beaver Island! It is located right across from the Beaver Island Boat Company docks. The first place to visit when you get off the boat. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. They can direct you to anything or place on the island. The center is a lovely building, very up to... More

Spent a night at Beaver Island cruising home on out sailboat. Stopped in the Community Center just to take a look. Found warm friendly people with an abundance of offerings. The night we were in town they were hosting two of the appeasers from Antiques Road Show. What a great time! Thank you!

Run, do not walk, to see these guys. Virtuoso performance guitar and mandolin, respectively. They play around Traverse City, MI. and travel about performing their brand of strumming and picking very high energy "country" style music. They are at the top of their game. Catch them if you can.
