Climb the winding iron stairs up to the top of the lighthouse, and be rewarded with an excellent view. Or go down the many stairs to the shore of Lake Michigan. Both very peaceful and enjoyable.

The interior is said to have been restored. but we could not get in to see it because the doors were locked the two times we went by. the out side was a light house. nothing special.

Surrounded by the white of the snow and the white of the frozen lake, the lighthouse hails as a beacon, especially since its restoration with paint last year. Looks excellent!
