Earl Young is the most prominent person in Charlevoix history. He designed and built many commercial and residential buildings with local stone. A little study of his background will make your visit even more enjoyable.

We saw this home in our tour of the Mushroom homes. Very impressive and one of my favorites. Occupants must have a great view of the Lake and beach.

Another home that is a must see. Edith is the one to take you around to tell you all about these beautiful homes and manors.

Just a short drive beyond the Mushroom house neighborhood in Charlevoix we discovered Boulder Manor and a whole neighborhood of beautiful stone homes. We viewed from the car only, but enjoyed driving the area streets.

Currently under renovation. Hard to believe they can improve this awesome home. The whole area is great. I recommend a paid tour to see it all.

I had the honor of painting the exterior of the manor a few years back. I found these photos I took at the time. The playhouse is on the driveway side of the house.
