Beautiful wild nature park, with some shores at lake Michigan. Places to park trailers and camping, small infrastructure to the tourism. The Fisherman's Island itself is a small portion of land 300 ft from the shore. Amazing to stop the boats in the lake and...More

We made a point to stop here for some rock collecting. It was definitely worth the stop! We found some great rocks and enjoyed the beach even when the snow flurries started!

First Time visiting this gem. In 37 years of searching I finally found a petoskey stone on their beach. The camp grounds are rustic and inviting. Quiet and peaceful place to vacation or take a day trip

This park is right near a cement factory but do not let that stop you. Water is crystal clear, the camp sites are varied from on the shore to deep in the woods.

Lots of rocks. Searched for some petoskey and charlevoix stones. Not too sure I found any but still had a nice time walking along the shore and seeing crawfish that came in with the waves

While friends at home are suffering in 100+ degree weather, we enjoyed a morning camp fire with coffee. Sixty degrees in a shady site, really hard to beat. Would give a higher rating were the outhouses kept clean.

I don't think there is one at the park. There is one at the Emmet county fairgrounds, then another just north of Charlevoix (according to google) at Uhricks, then another at Charlevoix Campground a little east of the park... More
