Last minute decision for Mexican food and tried Mexicantown. The service was quick and the food was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this restaurant and will be returning.

Mexican town is located on the southwest side of Detroit. Easily accessible from downtown, just off corktown and you'll find market, restaurants (not all Mexican) to dine. It's a quick walk through or a quick drive through. While you're in Detroit why not?

Stopped for dinner early this week. The interior looked a bit updated since our last visit, but the food is still the same as I remember it back in the 60's. Same food same drinks, always new staff. As a young person used to go over in...More

What a collection of wonderful restaurants and shops! I want to try every one. We went to Xochimilco (which was cash only). The food was exceptional and was the service. We'll be back.

This place is probably the best at the quasi-American version of Mexican food that you get all over Detroit and elsewhere. Big portions, quick service, endless chops and salsa, and inexpensive. If you have to wait at all, it'll be only a couple of minutes....More

This is one of the few thriving commercial districts in the city with many locally owned restaurants and other stores. Worth a look-see and a chance to have some authentic non-Taco Bell Mexican food.

There are alot of good restaurants. Armandos is my favorite. Go there for lunch or dinner then leave. Nothing to see, can be very dangerous at night.
