Went to see Bill Maher at the FOX THEATRE in downtown Detroit and was delighted to see a much maligned city so dynamic in its inner city core. But I was totally blown away when we went into the Fox. What a truly beautiful theatre. Unbelievable in its grandeur. It sits 5600 or so people and this was a sold... More

The show you see is just a bonus. Be sure to be looking left, right, up and down as you get to and from your seat! There are beautiful details everywhere!

We've gone to the FOX theatre twice in the last month. We saw Dirty Dancing which was awesome and Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood for the kids. The building is beautiful and the design is amazing. We had to wait outside in the cold for a bit before one show so I would recommend arriving early. The bathrooms are also a bit... More

What an amazing building! Loved the architecture, personal usher service and clean washrooms. Parking $10.00 and within walking distance.

Saw sleeping with sirens last month. Sat in the front row of the mezzanine, not a better seat in the house. Historic 90 year old theater is really a nice place.

This is an absolutely gorgeous theatre -- it is worth a stop even if you're not seeing a show! We saw "Il Volo - A Tribute to the Three Tenors" and it was a great show. But what made it so special was the venue itself. What a gem!

We went to see Dirty Dancing. What a treat for us! The venue is so beautiful and stunning. It is a historic building that everyone should take the opportunity to visit at some time in their lives. The play was exceptional and well worth the price of admission.

As others have said, I also went to the Fox to see Dirty Dancing. I was disappointed in the show, but it all began with the fact that our seats, about 17 or so rows from the stage were so flat and not staggered that we could not see over the heads in front of us. We basically saw the... More

I saw Dirty Dancing at the beautiful Fox Theater this past weekend. I could not believe my eyes to see hot dogs, popcorn, pop, etc. being sold there and eaten in the auditorium. It made me feel like I was at a ball game. Going to the theater used to be classy. Especially disappointed to allow this in such a... More
