More
The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a fully automated light rail system that operates on an elevated single-track loop in Detroit's central business district. Launched in 1987, the system’s 13 stations provide quick connections between the courts and administrative offices of several levels of government, sports arenas, exhibition centers, major hotels, and commercial, banking and retail districts. Service is frequent and unencumbered by vehicle or pedestrian traffic, and at just 75 cents per ride, it’s the best bargain in town!

The people mover is a bargain to get your bearings in downtown Detroit. For 75 cents with each trip, especially if you ride the entire loop, it's a great way to see a lot in a short time, especially on a rainy night.

I was excited to ride this while visiting Detroit, but ended up having to do it at the end of my trip "just for fun" because the track actually does not take you anywhere useful.

Quick and efficient way to see downtown areas from the elevated track. Reasonable cost to ride— $0.75.

The People Mover is a great way to get around downtown. You never have to wait more that about 10 -15 minutes.

Great to see all around downtown Detroit. It is old but cool to see. It is terrible for commuting in downtown. But it is only 75 cents to ride.

Thanks for taking a recent ride. You are correct - the People Mover does not directly connect to Little Caesars Arena, which moved events and sporting from Joe Louis Arena. Once you exit at Grand Circus Park Station, patrons have the option of taking the...More

The stops were usually easy to access. The maps were clear and easy to read. The fare is reasonable. The cars were clean and never crowded. I only wish it covered a bigger portion of the city...maybe some day.
