We really enjoyed talking with the many vendors at Eastern Market. Regardless of whether we purchased or not, they were keen to engage in conversation. What a fun mix of merchants, farmers and entrepreneurs from across the greater Detroit region. So much energy at the Eastern Market!

I didn't know what to expect when we decided to go here, but we had heard that it was worth the trip. That is an understatement. This is the largest Farmers Market that I have ever been to. There is a huge selection and it is surrounded by a Commission Row of produce and butcher establishments. All the booths had... More

This is such a great activity to go to the Eastern Market. An open air market with so many vendors with fresh flowers and plans. The diversity and people watching is a high light. The stores and shops surrounding the market make it an additionally great stop. It was on my bucket list for years. I am so glad I... More

So many reasons for both locals and visitors to visit Eastern Market. The market itself -- hopping on Saturdays and active on Tuesdays -- is a great open-air gathering place for fresh produce, breads, meats, cheeses, seafood and so many more, many of which are grown by urban farmers growing crops in the city. But the market proper is only... More

This is a fantastic very large open air market-plenty of parking, many many produce vendors as well as flowers, plants and people seeing their own crafted items (breads, salsa, soaps)..if you are in the area on a Saturday I highly recommend this. Very safe event with a huge variety of people. love love love it.

A large selection of stands featuring locally grown foods and crafts. Very busy on an autumn morning. We bought mushrooms, tomatoes, vinegar, and dry pasta.

Had a great time exploring Eastern Market. Many different vendors, huge selection of produce, meats, fish and eclectic items. Food trucks on hand. Samples to be had. It was our first time and I would go again. Parking during peak times takes a bit, but there are parking garages. The murals were fun and there were street performers

I usually go on Sweetest Day. At that time, the vendors usually have all of the seasonal items. I believe it's the best time to go. When we go, I always find good food and the people there are always very nice.
