Do's: The pierce stocking scenic drive is the wonderful destination to see the spectacular overlooks of the Glen Lakes. The Lake shore view is breath taking and is the must to visit. Don'ts: One of the challenging activity is getting to the bottom of the...More

This is only a seven-mile drive, but allow yourself at least an hour - 90 minutes is better. There are a dozen stops that show off the huge variety of terrain in a small area. You go from hardwood forest to rolling sand dunes to...More

After a 3.8 mile hike (famous Dune Hike) to Lake MI and back, the kids and I decided to explore this scenic loop drive. It was a good choice given our low energy yet need to explore more of the park.

The Scenic Drive is a not-to-miss part of the park. Sweeping overloooks, plenty of picnic spots with clean amenities, this drive kept the whole family entertained. We spent about 2 hours, highly enjoyable.

If you only do one thing..... do this drive. As others have said, do take the time and stop at each of the 12 stops and explore. It's worth the adventure. It's a seven mile drive, with stops still only a couple hours.

We did not have to pay (late in the day, not quite busy season?) but even if we did it would have been worth it. Stunning sunset views at the areas to pull over. Bring a sweater or jacket; we were a bit cold in...More

The area is north of the early Spring Line. As has been mentioned, Spring comes differently in Michigan. Today, we expect to see some rain/sleet/snow in that area. In a couple of days, we will have 50F-60F degree days. When... More

I live about 6 hours from sleeping bear dunes and have been wanting to check it out. However with my medical issues and my small kids, I don't think we can do the dunes. is it worth it to just do pierce stocking scenic drive? I hear it's nice but wondering if it's worth going if we can't do the dunes? Thanks
