Challenging Fun

I golfed here with my family. We enjoyed the challenging course and the water. This is a well kept, public course.

I've played this course several times, usually for a charity outing. The setting is amazing! As beautiful and peaceful as any northern Michigan course and just as challenging. There are many elevation changes to keep you on your toes. The clubhouse is nice. The bar and food are great!! Highly recommend.

If you don't hit 'em straight, you are in big trouble at the Preserve! It is cut out of the side of a proposed ski hill with water and swamps at the lower end. Hole #17 is a killer for the over ambitious. Play can be slow when a group of high handicappers get in over their heads ahead of... More

This Arnold Palmer course is very challenging with many elevation changes, traps and water hazards, as well as marsh, many trees and wildlife. As you progress from one hole to the next, each one comes up as a surprise (no boring back and forth). Right from the get go, an elevated, blind shot, dog leg left began our 18. While... More

The Arnold Palmer layout is difficult, challenging, fair, and fun. The course is well maintained. Excellent food. I have played many top courses all over the USA, and this one - right next door - compares favorably with them all, at much less cost.

I have played the preserve several times very scenic with different elevated tees and greens.course is much like northern michigan courses.many trees Always well taken care of. This is a challenging golf course but we'll worth it. Prices are $30-45 depends on time and day. Would recommend.

Up north fell not far from the big cities. It's very challenging and can play very long depending on the tee your choose!

This course is not only challenging it is extremely beautiful. The sandhills cranes, turkey and deer are all around. The hills and water add to the "up north" feel. This course was designed by Arnold Palmer and is so challenging yet enjoyable! Shhh...don't tell anyone. I want this place all to myself. Oh, and did I say the people are... More

My wife and I golf twice a week and we played this course in mid September. WOW! The course is so well maintained and it is a tough freaking course. One of the those par 5s on the back nine was one of the toughest holes I ever played and I actually celebrated the bogey I got. LOL The wild... More

This is an Arnold Palmer Signature Design course with great views and a lot of elevation changes, beginning at the first hole. Most greens are very large with reasonable putting surfaces. Green speeds are above average. Many greens are protected by water in front or to the side. Pace of play on a Saturday morning was 4 hours and 15... More
