Small Historical Museum

A must see and right in town. Gives you an overview of the men and women who settled the area and the hardships that they faced.

I thought it was very interesting. A great little museum for a small town. $2.00 tickets were very reasonable

My husband and I stopped in here while walking along Main St. They have a small, but cool selection of gifts in the gift shop. I found a Michigan made travel journal that will make the perfect gift that I was looking for. My husband wanted to do the museum. It was $2 a person, which also includes admission to... More

Was definitely more than I expected. Has a nice (reasonably priced) gift shop with some really cool items. Also a very clean public restroom. That's a gem because finding public restrooms is not easy. The courtyard has plenty of room to sit and was clean and well lit at night.

Cost is $2 a person or a dollar for students. If your Miilitary, you get in free. If you pay for this museum, you get to go to another museum on this ticket. They have hands on activities for kids. There are tapes to listen to with stories of the history. Enjoyed the visit.

Sorry, I didn't visit the museum, but wanted to comment about the wonderful staff at the Visitor's Center. Answered all our questions and were very nice- providing us with coupons and all-sorts of worthwhile information. BTW, parking in Free throughout the downtown!! How often do you find that these days? Thanks so much.
