Grand Rapids' pride in native son and 38th American President Gerald R. Ford is reflected in the museum that honors him, which transports you back to the 70s through interactive displays and holograms, including a chance to eavesdrop on an eventful day in the Oval Office.

As a Canadian I was totally impressed with this museum. It brought back historic memories for me. If you have 3 hours it is worth a visit. It is very reasonably priced.

Having Presidential Museums on my Bucket List, I must admit that this one is the best of the ones we have visited so far (total 5). It was well laid out; well planned; interesting brief videos of various parts of his life; and the exhibits...More

July 2017. Every day brings more depressing headlines and "can you believe it" moments. This week Facebook reminded me of the ceremonies Grand Rapids put on for Betty Ford's passing, and then our local NPR station mentioned Jerry's birthday... ...which means free admission to the...More

The Gerald R Ford Presidential Museum is both a museum and final resting place of a President and First Lady. It honors not just the man, but the time in history. President Ford said, "Truth is the glue that holds government together", which is a...More

I do not know but suggest you contact the museum. There is a parking lot directly in front of the museum but I do not know if it will accommodate your motor home.

It was fascinating to my wife and I. We were there from opening, broke for lunch at a hotel across the street and came back and finished around 4:00. If you want to take it all in, I'd allow a full day.
