This is a very large, clean beach. The water was cold (too cold for some in my party to swim), but clean. There is a nice breeze that comes in off the water. We were there on a Sunday, and I'm glad we got there...More

One evening we went for the sunset and another we were able to watch a huge freighter squeeze through the channel that leads to the big lake. Great place for a beach visit.

We came here one day because the kids could not get enough of swimming in Lake Michigan. It was very easy to park and they had large indoor changing rooms and restrooms. It is different than the gulf beaches I am used to- you have...More

Went to the beach (2 Mom's and 3 kids) and enjoyed hanging out on the beach and splashing around in the lake as well. The beach was mostly clean, it appeared there were some people who didn't feel the need to throw their items away...More

My family and I were very pleasantly surprised with how pretty this beach and Oval Beach were. We had a great time and this is an awesome place for a weekend getaway.

Excellent location to watch the sunset over Lake Michigan. Nice snack bar and lots of people watching with wind surfers and families enjoying the beach. Has the most photographed lighthouse in Michigan, probably because it's easy to get to.

Beautiful beach, clean and quiet, or if you want loud sand volleyball that is available too. Easy parking, reasonable fee, nice fieldhouse building for changing, buying a hot dog, or buying so extra beach toys. Perfect.

The beach is long and big, there were tons of people but not right on top of each other. The parking lot was "full" but still plenty of spaces. The beach was very clean, not sure if that was the visitors or the staff.
