We visited the day before the tulip festival officially began. Unfortunately, many of the tulips had been damaged here by torrential weather and they still charged full price for admission. Shame on them! They didn't warn us either. In front is a shop with a...More

The shop for wooden shoes and Delft pieces was fun to walk around and look at. We were able to get a few small items as keepsakes and gifts. Even though it wasn't tulip season, I was anxious to walk through the gardens and see...More

We were late for tulips so did not tour the gardens as they were closed when we arrived. We did tour the gift shop and watched a demonstration on making wooden shoes. Very interesting.

My wife and I visited Holland, Michigan the last two days of their festival. We were told upon arrival that we were two weeks past the prime time. We were obviously disappointed as we had just driven 9 + hours to get there. We arrived...More

We weren't sure what to expect. It was a sad Sunday afternoon I guess. We went into the garden centre no one greeted us, we wandered around for about 15 minutes while workers tended to someone working with the bison meat. Finally when we were...More

The flowers were lovely. I must admit, however, most of my time was spent in one of the shops buying plants, i.e. roots and tubers, plus wind chimes and bird houses. The selection was enormous and prices were great. I wasn't impressed, however, with the...More

we visited the weekend after the tulip festival. due to the unusually warm spring all but 2% of windmill garden tulips were gone, fortunately about half of veldheer tulips were still blooming and admission was discounted to only $5.

There was nothing wrong with this stop, it just wasn't what I was expecting. From the amount of advertising I would have expected it to be very large and elaborate. Unfortunately it was small and in need of some TLC.

I was here on May 13th and the tulips were almost done blooming and I was disappointed. It seems like they should stop selling tickets when this happens or give one a reduced rate.I understand mother nature has a mind of its own.

Our tour bus group was generally not overly impressed with this attraction. It was worth only a brief stay to see the wide variety of tulips. The grounds were not maintained as well as they could have been. Could have been enhanced with a coofee/tea...More

What would be the average cost to go on a weekday to the tulip festival? Please give us the cost of parking and admission and other incidentals, not including the food. Thank you.

That would be based on what you do. At Veldheers the Gardens are $10.00. all the shopping, delft factory, Woodenshoe factory, & parking is free
