This is a beautiful course to golf. Well maintained. Always see wildlife on it. Ranger tries hard to keep group on time (but some times it's more difficult than others). There's a bar area and also someone cooking meats on the grill. Be sure to use the practice putting green before going out on the course. You'll see those types... More

Went with friends that I golf with often - looking for another golf course to play at. Wow! The actual golf course was beautiful and proved to be a nice challenge! The clubhouse was small yet very clean. Loved the gentleman outside grilling up lunch selections! Beer cart service available, as was a full service bar in the clubhouse. Staff... More

The fairways are cut short like greens. The roughs are challenging. Greens are fast and true. A lovely scenic course. Expensive but well worth it. We play here often

We have a group of 6 couples that have played this course for several years. This past weekend they had some rain. I appreciate wanting to take care of the course.. that's a top concern to keep people coming back. Our tee time began at 11:30. The Starter said that the course would be cart path only. Ok. But after... More

the course itself is beautiful. you're going all around through the forrest. there are trees all over the place, so it can be difficult if you don't hit it straight. but it is well maintained, and there are a good variety of interesting holes with different sorts of challenges. some of the holes are really quite beautiful, looking down on... Great northern MI course. Through the woods and rolling hills. Make sure you stop at the ski jump on the way out of the course, and climb the 500 steps to the top.

Challenging course, bring extra balls! The fall color is amazing. Best rolling hills, perfect greens and secluded course we have ever golfed. Pricey, but certainly worth it! We will be back again next fall!

TimberStone Golf Course at Pine Mountain Resort is a sleeping beauty U.P. North.  It is located in the city of Iron Mountain, in a heavily wooded area. The TimberStone Golf Course's natural beauty includes dense treelined fairways, large deposits of iron ore and granite boulders, tranquil lakes, wetlands teeming with deer and other wildlife, and bent grass fairways and greens. ... Excellent course, superb conditioning, great staff. Played Oct. 1st, 2015 and the entire complex was immaculate. I don't think I have played a course with greens fees under $100/round in that kind of shape. The layout/design is challenging and requires accuracy tee to green. So many memorable holes, with the feeling of secluded privacy on most. View on #17 tee... More

Challenging course. Well maintained. Tight fairways with many trees. Hole 17 has great views of countryside. Would play here again, one of the best courses in Midwest.
